How to find and use the information in the Monsido Starter History Center

Introduction

The Monsido Starter History Center lets you track issues and website improvements over time. The history center reports provide detailed information on web-related issues such as Quality Assurance, Accessibility Performance, and Scan History. Assigned users get a report each time the automated scan runs.


Instructions

This section gives instructions on how to access the history center.

Click History Center (bar chart icon) on the main toolbar on the Monsido Starter Dashboard.

Alternatively, click Show History in any of the sections on the dashboard.

History Center Landing Page

This section describes the landing page for the Monsido Starter History Center.

At the top of the page, above the charts:

  1. In the first box, click the arrow to select the domain.

  2. In the second box, click the arrow to select the module.

  3. Click Go to Domain to redirect to the domain dashboard in Monsido Starter

  4. Click Compound Export on the top right corner of the window to export the history for all domains and modules.


Charts (All Modules)

This section gives information about the charts in the History Center, when All Modules is selected.

  1. The data on the first chart shows data arranged by number of pages and date of scan.

    The Monsido Starter Charts page.

    • The columns give information about:

      • Total amount of content

      • Content with issues

      • Total number of issues.

    • On the chart key, select or deselect the types of issues that you want to see on the chart.

      • Pages with Accessibility Issues

      • Pages with QA Issues

      • Pages crawled

      • Documents crawled.

  2. The data on the second chart shows a log of scans.

    The location of the Show History link on the QA section of the Monsido Starter dashboard.

    The columns give information about:

    • Crawled at: The date and time of the scan.

    • Pages with Accessibility Issues: the number of pages with Accessibility issues that should be addressed.

    • Pages with QA Issues: The number of pages with Quality Assurance issues that should be addressed.

    • Pages Crawled: The number of pages that the scan crawled.

    • Documents Crawled: The number of documents that the scan crawled.

    • Changes since previous crawl: The number of changes made to found issues between scans.


Quality Assurance Charts

This section gives information about how to access and interpret the Quality Assurance charts in the History Center.

  1. Access the History Center from the Show History link in the Quality Assurance section.

    The location of the Scan History link on the Quality Assurance section of the dashboard.

  2. The History Center opens with the Quality Assurance module selected.

  3. The data on the first chart is arranged per number of issues and date of scan.

    • The columns show:

      • Total amount of content

      • Content with issues

      • Total number of issues.

    • On the chart key, select or deselect the types of issues that you want to see on the chart.

      • Broken Links

      • Broken Images

      • Misspellings

      • Content with Issues

      • Scanned Content.

  4. The data on the second chart gives information about Quality Assurance issues found in scan history.

    • The columns give information about:

      • Crawled at: The date and time of the scan.

      • Pages Crawled: The number of pages that the scan crawled.

      • Domain Compliance: The percentage of the domain that is compliant with QA standards.

      • QA Errors: The types and number of errors that were found on the scan.

        • Misspellings: The number of misspelled or potentially misspelled words found during the scan.

        • Broken Images: The number of broken images found during the scan.

        • Broken Links: The number of broken links found during the scan.

        • Changes since previous crawl: The number of changes made to found issues between scans.


Accessibility Charts

This section gives information about how to access and interpret the Accessibility charts in the History Center.

  1. Access the History Center from the Show History link in the Accessibility section.

  2. The History Center opens with the Accessibility module selected.

  3. The data on the first chart is arranged per number of checks and date of scan.

    • The columns show:

      • Total amount of content

      • Content with issues

      • Total number of issues.

    • On the chart key, select or deselect the types of issues that you want to see on the chart:

      • Checks Passed

      • Failing Checks

      • Pages with Issues

      • Scanned Pages.

  4. The data on the second chart shows a log of accessibility issues.

    • The columns give information about:

      • Crawled at: The date and time of the scan.

      • Pages Crawled: The number of pages that the scan crawled.

      • Domain Compliance: The percentage of the domain that is compliant with accessibility standards.

      • Failing Checks: The number of checks that fail, indicated by A for WCAG compliance level A, and AA for WCAG compliance level AA.

      • Issues: The number of issues found during the scan.

      • Issue changes since previous crawl: The number of changes made to found issues between scans.
