This article gives instructions on how to access the issue view from each supported module.

Introduction

The Issue View feature is a way to narrow down scan results to see website issues on an individual issue, for example a broken image on a specific page. It is also possible to copy a URL to an Issue View page and send it to others or bookmark it.

Issue views are available on the Page Details page for the following modules:

  • Accessibility

  • Data Privacy

  • Quality Assurance.


Accessibility Issue View

View and get a link to a specific issue on a specific page within the Accessibility module.

  1. Click Accessibility (icon of a human with arms extended) on the Dashboard toolbar. The Accessibility landing page opens.

  2. From the menu on the left, select Pages with Failing Checks.

  3. Click Open page details (the page icon) on the same row as a page with failing checks.

    The Page Details page opens. This page shows accessibility checks with issues and the percentage of compliance for the webpage.

  4. Click Open Issue Page (an i for information icon) on the right side of the page in the section with issues, on the same row as an issue.

    • Snippet Overview section: This section gives information on the snippet.

      • Effect on overall compliance level: The percentage of effect this snippet has on the overall compliance level of the webpage.

      • Element: The type of element of the snippet.

      • Date found: The date that the issue was first detected.

      • Snippet: The snippet from the source code.

    • Checks for the issue section: This section lists the failed checks for the issue.

      • Review (eye icon): Click for information and tips on how to repair the issue.

      • Check: This column shows the name and description of the failed check.

      • Help Center (graduation cap icon): Click to read the Accessibility Help Center information and tips about the issue.

        • Element

        • Error

        • Short Description

        • How to Determine

        • Steps to Check

        • Procedure

        • Expected Result

        • Failed Result

        • Examples (Pass and Fail).

        • Click Open New Help Center for added details about the WCAG 2.2 check.

          • The name of the check

          • Impact

          • Difficulty

          • Guidelines

          • Tags

          • Why is this an issue

          • Examples (if available).

  5. Click Copy URL on the upper right side of the page to copy the URL to the issue.


Data Privacy Issue View

View and link to a specific issue on a specific page within the Monsido UI.

  1. Click Data Privacy (the lock icon), on the Dashboard toolbar. The Data Privacy page opens.

  2. Select Content with Data Issues from the menu on the left.

  3. Click Open page details (webpage icon) on the same row as a page in the list.

  4. Click on an issue in the list. The pane to the right updates with information and help about the issue.

  5. Click Open Issue Page (an i for information icon) on the same row as an issue on the right side of the page.

  6. The Data Privacy Issue page opens. View details about the snippet.

    • Snippet Overview

      • Status

    • Checks for the issue: This section is a list with the details for the checks that need attention.

  7. Click Copy URL on the upper right side of the page to copy the URL to the issue.

Quality Assurance

View and link to a specific issue on a specific page within the Monsido UI. Follow these steps for Broken Links, Broken Images, and Misspellings.

  1. Click Quality Assurance (the checkbox icon), on the Dashboard toolbar.

  5. Click Open Page Details (the webpage icon) on the same row as a page in the list.

  6. Click Open Issue Page (an i for information icon) on the same row as an issue on the right side of the page.

  7. The Broken Link page opens. View details about the snippet.

    • Issue Details

    • All pages with this broken link

    • All documents with this broken link.

Quality Assurance Misspellings/Potential Misspellings Issue View

View and link to a specific issue on a specific page within the Monsido UI.

  1. Click Quality Assurance (the checkbox icon), on the Dashboard toolbar.

  3. Click Spellcheck from the menu on the left. The menu expands.

  4. Click Pages with Misspellings. The Pages with Misspellings page opens.
