Important! The dictionary will not distinguish between capitalized and non-capitalized words if the option Ignore Capitalized Words is turned on.

It is not possible to edit a word from within the Dictionary. It can be done, however.

  2. On the website, ensure that the correct spelling is present within the html code in at least one location. Make a note of the location.

Ignore capitalized words

Words that the user includes in the Dictionary are case-sensitive. To instruct the scan to ignore words that are written in all caps, and bypass the need to, for example, add the word to the dictionary, follow the steps below for instructions about the Spelling ignore capitalized words option.

  1. From the Monsido Domain Overview (globe icon), click Settings (gear icon) at the top of the page. The Admin Settings page opens.

      • Remove: Select this option to remove the custom word or phrase.

Additional information:

Note: The Monsido Spellcheck feature scans for misspelled words in the primary language of the page by default. In the case that the page language is something other than the primary language of the domain, words can be marked as potential misspellings if they are not found in the dictionary even if they are correctly spelled in the language of origin. Turn on the Use Language Attribute function in domain configuration to avoid this.
