Introduction
Industry average is an industrial benchmark model that measures the overall digital health of your website, measured against the standards within your industry. You can compare the score of your website Quality Assurance, Accessibility, and SEO compliance against the digital health index and see the industry average. The Industry Average Score automatically identifies areas of your website that can be improved, and provides you with simple steps to make your website successful and outperforming peers in your industry.
The Industry Average Score is the average score as calculated from our customers, based on your industry.
The industry average score appears in the Diagnostics section for the relevant modules:

This article gives instructions on how to navigate to and understand the calculations in the Industry Average figures in the Monsido modules.
How the Industry Average Score is Calculated
The score is calculated like this:
New users are placed in one of 14 different verticals, or industry categories.
Business Services
Construction Industrial
Consumer Services
Education
Entertainment Leisure
Financial Services
Government
Healthcare
Law Enforcement
Legal
Local Government
Media
Non Profit
Other
Professional Services
Real Estate
Retail Wholesale
Technology
Utilities Natural Resources
We calculate the average score within each applicable module for the customers within the category, and that figure is divided by the number of customer accounts in the category.
For Example:
The vertical, "Local Government" contains 1000 customers. To calculate the Industry Average score for accessibility, we add together the Accessibility Compliance Score of all of those customers and then divide that number by 1000 to get the average.
Quality Assurance Score
The Industry Average QA Score shows the industry-wide average of compliance. The results appear in the Quality Assurance Diagnostics section.
Click Quality Assurance (the checkbox icon), on the Monsido dashboard toolbar. The Quality Assurance dashboard opens.
The Industry Average score is in the Quality Assurance Diagnostics section.
Accessibility Score
The Industry Average Accessibility Score shows the industry-wide average of compliance. The results appear in the Accessibility Diagnostics section.
Click Accessibility (icon of a human with arms outstretched) on the Monsido dashboard toolbar. The Accessibility dashboard opens.
The Industry Average score is in the Accessibility Diagnostics section.
SEO Score
The Industry Average SEO Score shows the industry-wide average of compliance. The results appear in the SEO Diagnostics section.
Click SEO (icon of a graph) on the Monsido dashboard toolbar. The SEO dashboard opens.
The Industry Average score is in the SEO Diagnostics section.
History Center
The Industry Average score appears in the History Center view for each of the relevant modules. This allows users to track the industry-wide average of compliance over time.
Click the Show History link in the Diagnostics section of all relevant modules on the Monsido dashboard toolbar.
