Q. How can I exclude inactive pages on my domain from the scan?
A.. The Monsido crawler finds all pages that it can access and where live links are present to connect the pages. If you wish to exclude old or inactive domains, we recommend doing one of the following:
Contact Monsido Support and send an accurate sitemap so that we can ensure the crawler only follows the specific path.
Create link exclusions to prevent the crawler from scanning anything on the inactive domain(s).
Create path constraints that specify exactly what the scan covers.
Monsido can also label a domain as inactive when it is not set up to actively scan on the platform. When this occurs, a symbol of an exclamation point inside of a triangle shows up on the same row as the inactive domain:
Please note that inactive domains will not be scanned automatically. To scan, press the On-demand scan button in the dashboard.
